Thaal Sinestro is a fictional character, an alien supervillain and occasional anti-hero in the DC Comics Universe. Created byJohn Broome and Gil Kane, Sinestro is the former mentor of Earth's first Green Lantern, Hal Jordan and the nemesis of the entireGreen Lantern Corps. Sinestro first appears in Green Lantern (vol. 2) #7 (July–August 1961). The first issue of Sinestro's own solo series launched on April 16, 2014.
